2015-2017 Winner of the UIP/Servier Fellowship


Every 2 years, the Union Internationale de Phlébologie (UIP)/ Servier Research Fellowship provides a €25 000 grant for a 2-year research program consisting of original research in the areas of phlebology and lymphology, including the following topics: anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, diagnostic methods, and clinical research.

The 2015-2017 UIP/Servier Fellowship was awarded to Dr. Joseph Shalhoub from Imperial College London (UK), by a committee of international recognized specialists in the field of phlebolymphology, including the president of the UIP, for his project “Metabonomic profiling for the identification of novel biomarkers in deep vein thrombosis.”

The prize will be awarded at the UIP congress, which will take place from August 27th to August 29th 2015 in Seoul, South Korea.
